my rhyme format is intricate
conceit says much more than you can duplicate
but humility causes me to hesitate
fight back the childish urge to say;
LOOK AT ME!
READ MY POETRY!
but I'm far too mature for that, I guess
so I give my flowetry flashy names and let curiosity do the rest

peep the poems some thought too freaky
peep em all brothas and sistahs and holla at me
so while I'm in the mornin light
I feel like it's smack-middle of night
I'm a pillow my flows slept on
but I wake up and I keep cumin hard on
leavin devestation in my wake
wonderin why no one will take

to holla and respect my rhyme
out of disrespect?

if nobody will
show love

and scream real loud

Droppin a rhyme
all the damn time
fallin on a deaf ear
I fear
the louder I scream the sooner my voice dies;
from a proud booming voice to a quiet defeated cry
I COULD curl up and play dead
but it would never silence all the voices in my head
voices screaming to get out
the voices I write about
voices with form and personality
whole personas, and in my mind I can see
